Peace of Mind

So today my dad text me, when I first looked at my phone it said unknown number. Most people have their dads number saved but since my dad always text me from a different number I find it pointless. The whole idea of telling someone how you feel is so ridiculous. Why do you have to tell someone how you feel when you know, they know. They do not want you to know they know, because in their head they are hoping their wrong. People always say letting things out is the way to a better life. I mean I get it, but do they not understand how hard it is. Your already drowning in all the bad memories to the point where you are ready to give up because it is just easier to let go. Today I decided to stop drowning, because I know if I do not it is going to kill me. It is going to slowly kill me and make me numb, how do I know this well I mean everyday I have huge smile on my face. On the inside I am angry and damaged. I struggle with the thought of confronting my coward of a father, there is man...

New Wave

When I was in highschool I never really thought about going to college, so when I finally came to the decision of a major I never about it closely. I ended up just picking liberal studies as my major, which is being an elementary school teacher. If I want to be completely honest, I only chose because I knew it was a more stable job and the classes were not as difficult. I like school because you I get the chance to get away from my life at home. So after doing so good my first semester of college I realized I want to switch my major to nursing. I know it is a tough major but I believe I am fully capable of being successful. I think this new decision is really going to be life changing for me. I feel proud of myself for really th...

This was a big shock, he’s family to me so hearing the news was disappointing. I know his decisions are unforgivable, but I refuse to believe that he is not a good person. My friend was a genuine person with a dark past. I am not saying that is an excuse for his actions, but sometimes your past affects your future. After realizing that my friend is more than likely going to prison for life, I viewed my life in a different way. I always looked at school as being a pain in my neck, but now I believe it is a blessing in disguise. I have the opportunity to do something great with life because of the education I am getting. Some people are not given that opportunity and turn to selling drugs because well it might not be the best way to get money, it also keeps you from being homeless. Now when I get up for school, I am more grateful for the position I am in. I ...
